A new version of Clipmarks for Firefox was recently made live on our
site. This version has a number of improvements (many of which were
requested or brought to our attention by our users...thank you all so
much for the great feedback).
Mozilla.org has not yet made this
updated version of Clipmarks available on their site. There are some
pretty substantial differences between the two so i strongly recommend
installing Clipmarks from our site for now to get the latest.
FYI...there are some cool new things coming to the site soon...i'll keep you posted shortly.

Where can i get the new version? Clipmarks still installs 0.9.5. Which version should be installed?

Version .9.5 is the latest. Currently, you can only get it from www.clipmarks.com. On Mozilla.org they are still offering version .9.2. Hopefully they'll make the latest version available very soon.

Sorry, i should have been more specific. With the old version of Clipmarks there were problems with the standard browser buttons while in "Clip mode" as well as some bugs that were experienced when multiple tags were open and when a user scrolled down a web page. These and a few other bugs were all fixed in 0.9.5. I'll make sure we're more precise about publishing the changes in future versions.

I installed ClipMarks on Firefox 1.5. ClipIt seems to work but SaveIt does not. This makes the whole thing pretty useless. I tried installing it on IE and both work here. However, on IE the highlight and save does NOT work. On FireFox SaveIt lights up after highlighting but SaveIt still does not work! Looks like a GREAT extension and I really would like it to work.

running Firefox 1.5 and I keep getting a dialog box saying ""software installation is currently disabled. Click edit options... to enable it and try again" I click "edit options" but I don't see anything abuot installing software. Help for the retarded please?

Turns out Firefox 1.5 blocks downloads based on the site you're downloading from. We're putting some instructions together now, but you simply need to click the "Edit Options" button in the upper right corner of your browser and then click the Allow button in the window that appears. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I installed clipmarks on Firefox 1.5 and clip it works but saveit doesn't. Also the Clipmarks button doesn't take me to the homepage. I have been trying to use it all weekend, thinking that the servers were slow. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still didn't work.
Great tool but I can't waste my time trying to get it to work. I might check back again in a week or two, feel free to email me if you make a change. Once again, a great idea and I can't wait to use it.
